Fundraising Campaign Hugely Successful
Restoration Nearly Completed
Fundraising efforts have raised $750,000! The reconstruction of the Vet's Hall as a beautiful and functional venue that serves as the center of community life is very nearly completed - although the actual occupancy date remains unclear. Thanks to hundreds of generous community donors, Restore Cayucos Vet's Hall has been able to give $500,000 to SLO County to help pay for reconstruction. Plus, there is $250,000 available for necessary furnishings and accessories which will help make the building a landmark that the community will be proud of long into the future.

The large bronze plaque recognizing donors of $1,000 or more is currently in production. It will be in place on the cement wall near the front entrance in time for the Grand Opening. Due to plaque production deadlines, we are no longer able to add any more donors on the plaque.

Because of our arrangement with The Community Foundation San Luis Obispo County, however, tax deductible donations can still be made into the fund, at least until 2026 - but without plaque recognition.

Of course, all contributions, no matter when they are made, will be used to support the Vet's Hall. All donations made in 2025 should be made out to Restore the Vet's Hall Fund and must be mailed directly to The Community Foundation San Luis Obispo County at 550 Dana Street, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401. The Restore the Vet's Hall committee no longer has a post office box.
